Official Mojang build. Creative mode only, and multiplayer worlds vanish when the host closes the tab.

What it is

The official browser edition of Minecraft Classic, published by Mojang and free to play with no account. It is the original creative mode only, so there is no survival, no mobs and no crafting. Multiplayer worlds are peer-to-peer: they exist only while the person hosting keeps the tab open, which is why the player list is usually tiny.

What you need

  • A desktop browser with WebGL
  • A keyboard and mouse
  • No account, launcher or purchase

How to open it

  1. Open the official Classic page at classic.minecraft.net.
  2. Enter a nickname when prompted, or leave it blank.
  3. Click the canvas to lock the pointer, then pick a block from the hotbar.

Before you click

We link to the original destination only and we do not host or provide game files. If the project asks for data, use files from a game you legally own. Never bypass a certificate warning and never install an unfamiliar executable to play a browser game.
