Reimplementation of the 1989 MS-DOS original, playable directly in the browser.
What it is
PrinceJS is a reimplementation of the 1989 MS-DOS Prince of Persia in HTML5 and JavaScript. The original level design, the deliberately slow animation timing and the sword duels are recreated, so it still demands the same patience the original did. It starts straight in the tab with no download.
What you need
- A desktop browser
- A keyboard for the arrow keys and the action key
- Tolerance for precise, unforgiving timing
How to open it
- Open PrinceJS.
- Read the on-screen key list first, because the controls are not the modern default.
- Start a new game and take the first jumps slowly.
